With the 2.0 release, Spring IDE grew significantly in terms of its download size and number of plug-ins compared to version 1.3.6. Furthermore a couple of users requested that some of 2.0’s new features like support for AOP and Web Flow become an optional extension as they don’t currently use these Spring features.
Therefore we have changed the packaging structure of Spring IDE to make the installation more flexible. Beginning with 2.0.1, Spring IDE will be split into 5 features, that can be installed separately.
The new packing is available from the nightly update site.
